couldn’t resist #ATELIER PUBLIC

ATELIER PUBLIC Friday 18 November

After being in Margate for the engage conference, #eng11, I couldn’t wait to get back to the gallery to see what had been happening and wasn’t disappointed. After only a week the change in the space is amazing. I really enjoyed going around and seeing where new work was, where people had been inspired by each other and what was beginning to take shape in the exhibition. There have been brilliant subversions of text as well in the space… really enjoying the conversation around scissors.

Last night was the Thursday Exchange event for ATELIER PUBLIC  and was a bit quieter than we though it might be. The Glasgow rain was in force and David Shrigley’s Opera was premiering at Tramway so there was a bit of competition for the evening. It still brought out people who came along and spent time making over a glass of wine.

The Thursday Exchange 17 November

Yesterday I uploaded a lot of the photos to flickr from the Gallery Assistants (who have been brilliant and there is no way this exhibition would have worked without them) but also took a couple of photos on my phone tonight as I left work.

Nicolas Party was also in on Tuesday, along with Jim Hamlyn and Peter McCaughey who were in for a peek to see what they could get up to later in the show. Maria McCavana s coming in on Monday while the exhibition is closed so looking forward to that as well.

A few photos to let you see how the exhibition is looking today and wondering what the weekend will bring…..
